Campagnolo Record 11-Speed Cassettes - 12-29 Cassette special deal

Campagnolo Record 11-Speed Cassettes - 12-29 Cassette

The Campagnolo Record 11 Ultra Shift cassette is the kissing cousin of the Super Record 11 cassette. Only one distinction of note separates these models: While the Super Record 11 cassette is built with 5 steel cogs and 6 Ti cogs, the Record 11 cassette is built with 8 steel cogs and 3 Ti cogs. On the Record 11, only the low 3 cogs (i.e. your climbing gears) are made from Ti. The other 8 are nickel-chrome coated steel. All of the Ultra Shift technology built into the Super Record 11 cassette is equally present in the Record 11 cassette. You get the same cog tooth synchronization. Note how the teeth on each cog look similar at the same place on each cog. This enhances shifting precision and reduces stress (thereby increasing the lifespan) of your chain. And you'll note how select teeth on each cog have a sharkfin-like shape. This shape serves as a gateway for upshifts. The Ultra Shift cog design works hand-in-hand with your 11 speed Ergopower shift levers to provide quicker shifts with less effort. According to Campagnolo Ultra Shift requires 13% less effort to achieve rear derailleur shifts in comparison to pre-Ultra Shift. The Record 11 cassette should attract people who are looking for added longevity in their components. The steel cogs are coated with nickel-chrome to increase durability, and when you keep in mind that steel is a harder material than Ti, you can reasonably expect a longer useful lifespan out of a Record 11 cassette than a Super Record 11. At 201g, the Record 11 cassette weighs a mere 24g more than Super Record 11.The Campagnolo Record 11 cassette comes with a lightweight alloy lockring. It's available in 5 ratios: 11-23, 11-25, 12-25, 12-27, and 12-29.
